"Dawn" Cherry Blossom Tree Painting

New painting!  I love this one.  Watercolor and ink on Aquaboard.  I looove Ampersand Aquaboard.  If any watercolor artist read this and have never tried, I would definitely give it a go.  If it weren't so expensive I would do all my watercolors on Aquaboard. It is probably too gritty of a surface to use in portrait painting, or anything with fine details, but other than that its a great painting surface.

sweet, the holidays are over

Just like everybody else, I breathe a sigh of relief after the holidays are over. Didn't have much time for art, so now I'm full of ideas waiting to get down on paper.

2010 is starting off to be a great year for my art on ebay...selling lots of prints so far. This year will be the year I create a full fledged online store for my art. Oh yes, it will. I'm hoping if I say it enough the magic website fairies will just create one for me. ;-)

I have a major new drawing planning- a hamadryad, oak tree nymph. I'm going to try to make a thorough drawing tutorial as I work on this one, for anybody that's interested!
